A winning comeback
Adeline marked her return last Saturday in Tignes by winning the second FIS slalom race organised by the resort, following the cancellation of the World Cup’s run in Levi. A perfect opportunity to adjust the last details before a week’s rest and before taking off to Aspen on November 20th.
“I was very happy! When I got down from the glacier, I could see all the steps of my rehabilitation flowing like pictures in my mind. I was letting all out, I felt like crying, like laughing, the joy of being back was overwhelming. This victory has done me a lot of good and this is a promising outlook before my return to the World Cup. I still needed a few kilometers of slalom under my belt, but, now I am ready!”
A giant slalom and two slaloms in Aspen
The weekend of November 27-29 will be intense with the usual giant slalom and slalom races in Aspen, along with the Levi slalom (postponed) adding to our already busy schedule. The races will start on Friday with the giant slalom and will finish with two slaloms on Saturday and Sunday. In total, three races in three days: an opportunity to win a lot of points for those who are up for the challenge.
Last year, Boulie came 17th in giant slalom and 14th in slalom. This year she hopes to get her confidence after her terrible injury at the end of last year’s season.
